She Is Indulgent — poem by Alexandra Gold

She Is Indulgent

She Is Indulgent

She takes time out
She can say 'no'.
She goes with Ebb
She moves with Flow.

But do not doubt
That all the the time
She has Indulgence
On her mind.

She fills herself
With what she needs
Not for power,
Nor for greed.

But Indulgence
Is the Key
To help her Fill
Her Cup with Ease.

The Overflow
She knows is spent
On giving back
Making amends

Making peace
Making friends
With those who see
No common sense

She Indulges in
The little things
In Sunny days
In Starry nights

In precious arms
Around her neck
In spending time
Saying 'what the heck'

She reads a book
She drinks some wine
She plays a game
She takes her time

She hears the raindrops
Falling down
She watches children
Jumping round

She is Indulgent
There is no doubt
For without it
There would be nought

Of her to give
Of her to share
Of that you must
Be made aware.

So if you help
Your queen indulge
You will be sure
To reap rewards

As every woman
Is astounded
When her indulgence
Is reassured.

Don't feel guilty
Don't feel pressure
Just take the time
To settle down

To think a bit
About the future
To dream a bit
Enjoy the now!
