She Is Uncomfortable — A Woman On Purpose poem image

She Is Uncomfortable

She is Uncomfortable

Teardrops glisten
Falling steady
Her heart is strong
But needs release
From the pain she feels
Almost constant
Her desire for kindness
What she pleas

Why such warfare?
Why such anger?
Why such hunger?
Why such greed?
She knows that in this world
Of plenty
There is no reason
There is no need

Her life may be so full and plenty
Yet she is exposed to global plight
She wants to make the world all better
She wants to stop this useless fight

She feels discomfort
She feels the sadness
Every human in her heart
Her empathy a gift so heavy
Compassion endless
Felt within

She finds it hard to see the trauma
Still so present in the world
On her doorstep, miles between them
She wants to stop the endless pain

Aching, writhing
Body tender
Hopeless feeling
Must begin
To do something
Make it better
Make the love
Start wandering

She reaches out towards her sisters
Their hearts are calling
Together, sing
Their voices rise in all their glory
When they choose their love reign

No one can stop this energy revealing
Around the world sisters unite
Their hearts so tired from uncomfortable feelings
Their strength empowered, gathering

They will not fight with guns or weapons
They will begin to rise within
And together they will conquer
Strife and hunger, worldly sin

If you are feeling slight discomfort
Take note that you are not alone
This feeling is the call to action
Discomfort is your earthly zone

We can change this world with kindness
We can make this world have peace
As long as we keep trust this feeling
Our strength, discomfort, gathering

For if we did not feel or know this
Pain then we would not decide
To do the things we need accomplish
To change the world, to make it right
