What information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Your email address (and your name, if you give it) when you ask for Your Path On Purpose, our free gifts
- Your email address when you choose to receive The Golden Apothecary daily email — a separate choice, confirmed by you
- Your name, email address and purchase details when you buy a book or course
- Any information you include when you contact us by email

- Analytics data about how you use our website (only with your consent)
We do not collect sensitive personal data through this website.
How we use your information
- Deliver the free gifts you asked for (a welcome email with your links, and private listening access to Your Path On Purpose on Hiro.fm)
- Send you The Golden Apothecary daily email — poetry, practice and philosophy — only if you have separately chosen and confirmed it
- Deliver course access and related communications (if you have purchased)
- Respond to your enquiries
- Improve our website and services (analytics, with your consent)
We will never sell your personal data to third parties. We will never share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Legal basis for processing
- Consent — for email marketing and non-essential cookies (you can withdraw this at any time)
- Contractual necessity — to deliver a course or service you have purchased
- Legitimate interests — for basic website security and fraud prevention
Email communications
Asking for Your Path On Purpose and choosing The Golden Apothecary are two separate choices. Signing up for the free gifts does not add you to The Golden Apothecary.
The Golden Apothecary is sent only if you tick the consent box on our sign-up form and then click the confirmation link we email you. We keep a record of when and where you gave that consent.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, from the “Manage Email Subscriptions” link, or by contacting us at hello@awomanonpurpose.com.
We keep our subscriber list in FluentCRM, which runs on our own website, and we send our emails through Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES, EU–Ireland region). Our emails contain standard open and click tracking so we can see which pieces are useful and keep the list healthy.
When you ask for Your Path On Purpose, your email address is also shared with Hiro.fm so they can give you private listening access, and a copy of your contact details is held in Resend, a service we used for email before (we do not currently send email through Resend).
Cookies
We use cookies to make our website work properly and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use it. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner on this site.
Your rights
Under UK/EU GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, object to processing, and complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. Contact us at hello@awomanonpurpose.com — we will respond within 30 days.
How long we keep your data
- Email subscriber data: for as long as you remain subscribed, plus 12 months after unsubscribing
- Course purchaser data: 7 years (UK legal requirement for financial records)
- Contact enquiry data: 2 years
