She Gets Into Reality — poem by Alexandra Gold

She Gets Into Reality

She Gets Into Reality

Somewhere between
Spirit and the earth
Is the place where she lives
She doesn’t have all the answers
She still pays the rent
But she does her best
As best she can

She tries not to judge you
She tries to be kind
But she still needs to feed her kin
She tries to be better
Than she was yesterday
But sometimes she falls to the ground

She accepts her tomorrow
And lives for today
And the ground that she walks on is still
It is firm, it is solid, it is under her feet
And the only way forward is real

Somewhere between
Her dreams and her past
Is the place where she is right now
Making the best of the life that she has
Making sure she does all that she can

She takes responsibility for all that she needs
For all that she says and she does
For perfect imperfection is infinity
Seeking a never-ending journey

Somewhere between
Here and eternity
Is the place between body and soul
Spirit and Physics
Science and Trust
Is the place where she is
To just Be
