She Is The Light

She is the source
The beginning
The flicker
The flame

She is the ember
The firefly
The light
To remain

She brings hope
She brings safety
She brings comfort
And peace

She leads those
When the darkness
Is all
They can see

She shines 
In her glory
She shines 
Through her pain

She shines
To show others
There is hope to gain

Through the depths
Of despair
Her fire went out
And she knows
What it feels like
To be bitter
And doubt

But she shines
Just to show you
To look up
Once again

For the light
That she shines
Will always remain

A glimmer
A sparkle
A faint guiding gleam
For you to follow
For you to see

She holds the light higher
It will never go out
For the light that she’s shining
Is Love
