She Does Her Best — poem by Alexandra Gold

She Does Her Best

She Does Her Best

She's a mistake maker
Risk taker
Loving her life to the full

A dream greater
Love maker
Giving herself to the world

So many times her dreams were broken
Living lies and words unspoken
Her heart was torn in places never seen

She's taking back her independence
To herself she's giving credence
Feeling life is better day-by-day

She has so many reasons
To do all that she does
She doesn’t make excuses
She just rises above

She has much to keep her going
And does it all in her own way
She keeps on keeping on through seasons
Through each year. Through everyday

She has many so plans for future
Putting worlds and lives to right
And works through each and all solutions
All each day and every night

You might try to look and see her
And never really understand
She never gives up, never ceases
She does all that she can

So when you look at her and see
Determined eyes and a heart that's free
Make no mistake it not all ease
She just does her best that’s all she needs

She's a mistake maker
Risk taker
Loving her life to the full

A dream greater
Love maker
Giving herself to the world

She does her best
That’s all she can do
With her all, in every way

It may not seem
Enough for others
But it is for her, it is her dream
