She Starts A Conversation — poem by Alexandra Gold

She Starts A Conversation

She Starts A Conversation

About what is, what was and what could be
She knows that it is time
The world is waiting

The men, the children
The vulnerable, the strong
The helpless and the powerful
Need her

The mute and the angry
The voiceless and the leaders
The wounded and the oppressors
Need her

Those that look at her with contempt
Fail to see the impact she will make
For she listens, to the hearts, the minds, the elders and the youth
She listens to much more than the words

She listens to the reason
She listens to the opportunity
She listens to the human need
She listens to the souls of history

For there has never been an opportune time in history as there is for her today.
She can speak to the masses
She can heal the multitude
She can resolve conflict
She can lead the revolution
Into a new era

For she is part of a new generation
A generation of souls who see the infinite possibilities
Sustainable, peaceful, abundant possibilities

She may not see the fruit of her labor
She may not ever rest on her laurels
But she will sow the seeds of hope and solutions

How does she begin?

It starts with her
Contemplation
Research
Intuition

Knowing that she is human
Feeling that there is more

For her to play her part she begins the journey inward
Establishing her foundation, making it strong, making it safe
For her to spread her wings, her magic, her influence

Humble, yet purposeful
Vulnerable, yet committed
Empathic, yet determined
To start a conversation

She wipes the slate clean
Letting go of the chains that bind her
Those chains that she left locked around her mind
For to do good work she must release herself
Give herself permission
Forgiveness
Courage
Confidence

She questions her beliefs
Holding onto that which makes sense
Leaving outdated rules and doctrine for the history books
For she cannot change the future without questioning the past

Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
Simple, yet effective questions

There are no rules where she is going
It is up to her
Honour, love and sustenance her guidance
Happiness, fulfilment and peace her goal

There are rituals, ceremonies and traditions that are needed
Humans are humans
Needs must be met

She starts a conversation
For there are many who feel the pain
She starts a conversation
For there are few who will do the same

There are a few golden rules she must establish
There are so many misunderstood

How to talk without judgment
How to ask without hate
How to heal without patronising
How to lead with pure grace

How to ask the right questions
How to feel the same way
How honesty in practice
Would change what you say

How to love without reason
How to act without cause
How to hope for lost causes
How to choose what you adore

How to see the solutions
That are fair and are just
How to entice those with power
To share the abundance

There are so many questions
There is so much to be said
To counteract the oppression
Overwhelming most heads

She starts a conversation
Begins facilitate
The paradigm future
Needs love and not hate
