Homesick for a place she’s never been
Knowing within her core that she was made for more
Unsure of what it is she makes a promise
The monotony of the day-to-day
Leaves hours where she can think
Contemplate her future
Enable doubts to shrink
Rekindling her long lost dreams
Rearranging her priorities
Putting herself first
Guilty no longer
For she has a place on earth
It is written in the stars
And it is for her to light up
Brightly whilst alive
So what is her message
Her duty, her job
What lights the fire inside her so fiercely
That she cannot ignore it and neither can those who bear witness
Now, is her moment
Now, is her time
To rise, purposefully
Like a Phoenix from the ashes
Time to put her stamp on this planet
Time to live her meaning
Time to share her unique message
Her stories and those of her ancestors
For her earth is no longer recognizable
It has been overtaken by the greedy,
Powerful in their obnoxious and selfish ways
And she knows,
That only with her love,
Can she feel home
Once more

For a world a better place
