Let's make this world a better place
She looked around the world to see which way to go.
She looked at all the paths that were available
Religious paths, spiritual paths, traditional paths, economic paths, cultural paths, political paths, scientific paths, ordinary paths.
And all she found was anger, greed, manmade laws that helped mainly those who created them or who needed to control the path ahead.
There were good bits in all.
Some were made out of love but were trodden on over the sands of time.
Some were made out of necessity but were outdated.
Some were created to leverage power and were laced with oppression and cruelty.
Some were forged from fear and stifled the beauty without mercy.
None of them were right – for her.
And, it seemed, there needed to be a new path. For every seeker. For everyone in pain, in shackles, in despair and in defiance.
For those who wanted to do their best and leave a legacy of love for future generations.
For what she found in this bright, shiny world of which she was an inhabitant, was greed, hunger, war,
Despotism hidden loosely under the noses of the power hungry middle classes,
Wealth without integrity,
Charity disguised in sheep’s clothing, Underhanded compassion thrown as a golden carrot leading the poor and helpless.
Nothing was working.
Oh yes, the world was moving, round and round and round again.
All the characters from throughout time were there.
Playing their parts in a way that was known, comforting and tolerable to the point of apathy.
She researched. She thought. She contemplated.
She battled her own mind.
She didn’t realise it but through her research and commitment to her promise she was becoming a pioneer.
