It was the end of life as it was meant to be
It was over as far as she could see
The pain of living too much for her to bear
Her time was over and she didn’t even care
Her heart was bleeding with salt in every wound
Precious moments ripped from her life too soon
The memories bitter and twisted in her head
Her only thinking she would be better off leaving for dead
She asked the questions of why life treated her this way
She cried and pondered through nighttime and the day
As she grew weaker, her heart began to slow
And in that moment she learnt what she needed to know
There is a reason
There is a plan
When you can’t see it
When no one can
The lesson holy
Lesson divine
Not in that moment
But give it time
Your heart so tender
Your feelings true
Even when you know
Not what you have to do
She heard a whisper
Felt loving hands

She started looking for things that she could do
She started learning to make her dreams come true
She started taking action step by step
She started living life without regret
She looked inside her, uncovering desires
Making peace and passion her purpose for the while
Awareness growing, increasing joy profound
She built foundations, hallowed holy ground
Her heart it mended, her love returned
Her courage growing, her boldness spurred
Healing in places she didn’t know she hurt
Eternal blessings now given her instead
