She Celebrates Again
Ritual
Ceremony
Fun
Divinity
She had stopped dancing
Stopped playing the tunes
Stopped dressing up
Stopped everything new
She had given up everything
That let her hair down
Thinking that she was getting
A little old for that now
Her ego was taunting her
Telling her lies
That her good times were over
She was old now and wise
But all of the time her spirit
Was crying
That is not how it happens
You’re not meant to hide
Telling her that she must
Never be free
To sing and to dance
And never party
Her ego was tainted
Her ego too proud
To allow her to celebrate
Dance and sing out loud
So she crept into sanctuary
Made all on her own
Self-righteous and pious
But dying inside
Sat in reflection
Contemplating again
She suddenly realized
She had nothing to gain
By sitting and praying
The world to be one
When those all around her
Were out having fun
She knew in that instant
How happiness worked
That to give and to gain
Was the source, the pure word
She watched all those dancing
She watched them to see
The ancients, the modern
All throughout history
And then the true meaning
Of life was revealed
To live and to give
To love and receive
Each fiesta had meaning
And reasons to be
From celebrating birth
Sacred ceremony
It did not matter what it was
Or where it was from
She took part in them all
With her dance and her song
From Spirit to Human
From primal to being
From masculine action
To Divine Feminine
She gave herself knowledge
And picked up her heels
And put on her face paint
And picked up her keys
She took control her ego
And gave it a part
To play in celebration
To help be part of her art
Standing up tall
Tummy pulled in
She took that first step
Celebrating again
