Freedom within

How do you decide what your purpose will be?
You follow your heart and what needs priority?
Firstly you make sure your own needs are met
And then you commit to the path that’s ahead
Decide what you need first to make you content
And then decide what you’d like and then make it a quest
With your map you can pin all your dreams and desires
And then as you take action, note that which transpires
Awareness is key to the wisdom you hold
Starting with you, know thyself – this is gold
Observe your surroundings, your family, your friends
And then as you grow keep learning, no end
Each step a commitment to focus, achieve
And each bump in the road, for you to take heed
Enjoy every moment, your journey unfold
Remember, this story, is yours to be told
Remember to listen, to seek and to find
At the end of the day, this is your life not mine
It is yours for the taking, yours for the ask
But it takes full-on commitment and bloody hard graft

If it doesn’t feel right, then don’t do it you fool
Success it does come to those willing to take
Opportunities, chances and risks to make great
There will be haters and those who do mock
Be brave, do not falter, get up after each knock
Purpose does come in all shapes and form
It stays in the home and keeps family warm
It travels the world, spreading the light
It teaches and preaches and works day and night
No purpose is greater none is too small
When you choose how you live, life makes sense after all
Small steps in directions of integrity
Action and knowledge and doing is key
You may start off with one thing and then see something new
That sparks recognition of embers in you
Never ignore that which stirs you inside
That’s passion, that’s purpose – that’s your calling – decide
Your journey may take many pathways and turns
It will take many detours and you’ll need to learn
Which is your business and that which is not
And commit to your purpose – this life’s all you’ve got
Take it and live it and make full use of your time
You don’t need regrets so leave them behind
Step over challenges, make others see
That you meant what you said when you said you’d succeed
