Knowing how precious each may be
She is blessed to know the present
She is awake enough to see
That every day we wake up
See morning time and breathe
The daybreak brings true gratefulness
For the time that we have left
Every day that's given
Is as perfect as the next
There are good ones and there are bad ones
She knows that to expect
Although she is quite hopeful
That her tomorrow will still come
She makes sure to live each single day
As if it were her only one
Sometimes full of wonder
Some are full of woe
The only thing she's sure of
Is that living is for those
Intent on making moments,
Memories so strong
Regretting not a minute
Of this life she does belong
She's forgiven all the bad bits
Of others and herself
She gives herself permission
To live life to the full
No matter what they may say
Those who are wondering
About the smile that shines through
About her cheeky grin
She doesn't have the answers
To everything or one
She doesn't need to know though
That would spoil the fun
So she carries on exhausting
All there is to keep her keen
On living life to the fullest
To the max, to the extreme
There is one thing she realises
One thing she knows so well
That not everyone's so lucky
That not everyone can tell
The secret that her happiness
Draws from everyday
Is that there is hope of a tomorrow
In her heart and hope will stay
