She Takes Stock — poem by Alexandra Gold

She Takes Stock

She Takes Stock

A Gift
A breath
A life

Full of gratitude
For all that she has
All that she is
All that is yet to come

Understanding that there is so much to learn
So much she cannot fathom
And so much she certainly does not understand

As the seasons change
So does she

As the moon waxes and wanes
So does she

As the tide ebbs and flows
So does she

But she is in her springtime once again
Tight in a bud
Getting ready to bloom

Unhindered by the latest blossom
Undaunted by most regal trees
She is about to play her part

Gathering her thoughts
Her dreams, her plans
She contemplates her colours for the season to come

How will she deliver herself?
Her glory, her passion

How will she show up?
Present, grace

Quiet contemplation is needed
Her cocoon a shelter from the noise of the outside world

She is almost ready
It is almost time

To begin her cycle once more
This, her magic moment
Given yet another season
To bloom
