She is tired of the suffering 
She is tired of the pain
Of old ways repeating 
Again and again

She is tired of the fighting 
She is tired of the wars
Of being told that they're needed
And for a good cause

She is tired of the cheating 
She is tired of the lies
Of being told she would understand

She is tired of the put downs
Patronising, unkind
She can see the judgment 
That goes on in their minds

She is tired of being thought of
As stupid and weird
Of the thought that it's ok
To say "be still my dear"

She is tired of presumptions 
That although she only wants peace
That she'll do as she's told
And not cause a disgrace

She is tired of the statements 
That do not ring true 
Such as all humans are equal 
The problem's with you

She is tired of oppression 
Of hunger and strife
Of homelessness, neglect 
Of fighting for life

She is tired of just waiting 
Of being seen and unheard
So she is silently gathering
Around the world

To empower those ready 
To join in the cause
To support those who need her
Are looking for more

She is tired of doing nothing 
Now she has gained her strength 
Her voice and her courage 
Her time has been well spent

Learning and watching
Solutions to seek
For all those who need respite 
The sick and the meek

Whilst the world has been raging
She took time out to see
Just what could replace
Outdated powers and greed

Her patience grew thinner
Her resilience grew strong 
She grew tired of just watching
The world carry on

And now she is rising 
Her will by her side 
She has rested enough
