She Reinvents Herself — A Woman On Purpose poem image

She Reinvents Herself

She Reinvents Herself

Cycles
Seasons
Reflection
Expansion

She expects changes
Sometimes good
Sometimes not
But she does not stop too long

She adapts
To those changes
In a way that suits her rhythm
Her melody, her dance

Looking back to what she was with a melancholic smile
Feeling strong enough in her foundation
She looks to her future
It is up to her to paint her path

Day-Dreaming
Thinking
Creating
Excitement

What does her future look like?
What does she look like?
She holds the key
She knows that now

In her mind she forms the path
From where she is now
Looking far ahead and giggling
What sort of crone will she be?

Radical, eccentric, weird, bizarre?
Elegant, poised, wise and proud?
A granny of note, her garden a haven?
A pioneer, a storyteller, a force to behold?

And then she comes back to her present
Accepting her lot as her cross to bear
A spear of determination to pierce the way forward
She creates a vision to step into inside

What does bliss feel like for her to be true?
A mansion, a commune, a humble abode?
She takes heed of her knowing
She knows she can’t hide

For truth can’t be broken, it is what it is
No matter what others decide for their bliss
She must notice her own self, be sure to abide
Be drawn by her longings, let her passion decide

She takes all her senses and contemplates what
She looks like, she talks like, she feels like and then
Takes action, creating her wings to be spread
Reinventing her own self to suit her next step
