She Tells Her Story — poem by Alexandra Gold

She Tells Her Story

She Tells Her Story

Inside her is a story
Inside her is her truth
It hurt so much to go through
But in time it helps to soothe

Like a genie in a bottle
In time will be released
To those who feel uneasy
To those who wish to see

Going through the memories
Sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet
She knows her story spoken
To others will give peace

Not easy to unravel
Not easy to be seen
She finds a way that gives her
A platform best to lean

Through passion, poise and presence
She grows to be herself
In all her crowning glory
She shares her inner wealth

Taking all the pieces
Of her and how she’s grown
She finds a way of telling
Her story on her own

And what she finds in essence
In all that she does share
Is that it lends freedom more to others
And shows that she does care

In courage, strength, commitment
In steadfastness and truth
She bears her soul to others
Giving strength and helping soothe

On bearing authenticity
No matter what it holds
You give your gifts to those who
Need to hear it most

So claim your inner power
Claim your inner peace
To share from what you have learned
To share your own release

The cycle and the rhythm
True nature it does show
That through sharing your own story
Our love will start to sow

Inside her is a story
Inside her inner truth
It is hers to tell and hers to share
It is her legacy

The end has not been written
By sharing all you know
You start living the next chapter
Your love will only grow

Are you ready to Tell Your Story?
