Light will shine
Over the shadows of the past
Causing hope instead of pain
Throughout time they call her name
Louder, roaring
Quietness falls
But in time she will recall
That time gone by
When she was brave
She marched with others
In her name
Not in anger
Not in doubt
Not to hate
Not to shout
For in her heart
She feels the call
That it is time
For love to rule

Balanced, pure
Where all belong

But giving up
Is not love at all
She will march around the world
For every man, woman, child, for all
In her heart she lights the flame
And vows that love will be her name
She lights a candle on her altar
To remind her, never falter
Carry on, the world needs you
To keep love growing, we need to do
All we can, with all we have
From where we stand, with all our love
The grace we share is nothing new
But now is time for its power show

Who sacrificed for her to have
The chance to speak, the chance to live
Now it is time for her to give
Inherent wisdom, throughout time
Knows there are ways for love to shine
Abundant living, compassion, kind
Equity, freedom, natural signs
It will take learning
It will take practice
It will take healing and inspired action
It will take courage
It will take time
It will take finding out ways to shine
We will need the powers that be
To learn to trust, our wisdom see
That there are answers to all life’s woes
If we let power of love to grow
These words they may be gentle
But believe they are not weak
For we know that we have power
In truth and action what we speak
So she will march
For when she does so
The shadows fall from her own light
