She Clears A New Path

She Clears A New Path
She Clears A New Path
For others to walk in
She clears the cobwebs
Of old fashioned ways
She clears a new dawn
To bring hope to those waiting
For laughter and joy and rainbows through rain
She clears that new path
For she wants to be different
From those who encouraged
Conform and restrain
For the life that she is living
Is fun and exciting
And she wants to keep living
And keep playing the same
Just because others grew old and decided
To do as their parents and grandparents did
There is no reason for her to do likewise
For if she clears a new pathway she opens up more to give
She dreams of a future where she is still dancing
And laughing and playing into her dotage
That way she has always got something to look forward to
And this gives her pleasure and the chance to dream big
She doesn’t discourage those who have embraced this
In fact she knows there are so more who will dance
With her and her elders and they need one another
To show others encouragement and give them a chance
Her plan for her pension is big hair and golden
Singing sweet nothings for all those who care
To listen and watch as she grows her own produce
With colour and contrast and pure love in the air
In clearing this path she also discovers
That there are so many opportunities
For those who are watching and waiting to follow
And hoping this new path is ready to see
How to keep living and how to keep giving
Through beauty, excitement and showing the way
By cleaning her own porch and creating her future
The path she is clearing becomes the best day
Always have something to look forward to! Live with no regrets
